Restaurant POS with inventory and table reservations

Take table bookings online, ring up orders on a tablet or at the counter, and finish the night knowing what you made.

SageBizet is a free, browser-based restaurant system that combines a POS, table reservations with a walk-in queue, inventory for drinks and supplies, a cash drawer, and daily takings and profit in one account.

What goes wrong without a system

  • Double-booked tables and turned-away walk-ins

Phone bookings in a paper diary miss the party size and the time a table frees up, so Friday ends with two parties for one table while walk-ins are sent away from tables that sit empty.

  • No-shows on the busiest nights

A party of eight that never arrives costs a full turn of the room. Without a record of who books and does not come, the same people do it again.

  • Drinks stock that quietly disappears

Bottled drinks, wine and spirits are the easiest stock to lose to breakage, waste or theft, and without counts nobody can say where it went.

  • A cash-up that takes an hour

Adding up cash, card slips and notes after service is slow and error-prone, and a short drawer is discovered days later, if at all.

A day at your business, with SageBizet

Open to close — where each part of the system earns its place.
  1. 10:00

    Deliveries and prep

Log the drinks delivery as a purchase so stock is right before service, and record the produce invoice as an expense.

  2. 11:30

    Check today’s bookings

The front-desk view lists today’s reservations by table and time. Bookings made overnight on your public booking page are already there, with party size and notes.

  3. 12:00

    Lunch service

Open the table, send drinks to the bar and starters to the kitchen with notes like “no onions”, and hold the mains until the table is ready. Add to the order as the meal goes on, and split the bill by item or by payment when they ask for it.

  4. 15:00

    Between services

Open the cash drawer for the evening if you run a session per service, and check lunch takings against a usual same weekday on the dashboard.

  5. 19:00

    Dinner and walk-ins

Add walk-ins to the queue with their party size and seat them as tables free up. A reservation that has not arrived after the grace period is marked as a no-show.

  6. 23:00

    Close

Count the drawer against expected cash; any over or short is recorded. Insights shows the week’s best sellers and, with cost prices entered, profit by dish.

Setting up SageBizet for a restaurant

A restaurant uses three parts of SageBizet most: reservations for the room, the POS for orders and payment, and inventory for drinks and packaged stock. They share the same records, so a busy Friday shows up in bookings, takings and stock at once.

Where restaurant tasks live in SageBizet
Restaurant needHow SageBizet handles it
TablesBookable resources with a capacity (seats) and a status, so a table under repair can be taken out of service
Booking rulesOpening and closing time, minimum and maximum booking length, buffer and cleaning time between parties, booking window and a cancellation policy
Online bookingsA public booking page for your business with the fields you require, such as phone number and party size
Walk-insA walk-in queue, used on its own or alongside reservations
No-showsA no-show grace period, a no-show status and booking reports
MenuItems with categories, photos, prices and optional cost prices
Drinks stockTracked items with low-stock thresholds and reorder suggestions

What SageBizet does not do for restaurants

  • Print to kitchen printers — orders go to bar and kitchen screens in the browser instead
  • Process card payments — your own terminal does that, and the sale is recorded as Card
  • Take orders from delivery apps, or sell gift cards
  • Keep separate stock for several branches (one location for now)

Common questions

Is SageBizet free for a restaurant?
Yes. SageBizet is free during early access for restaurants, with reservations, POS, inventory and reports included, no credit card and no per-terminal or per-user fees.
Can guests book a table online with SageBizet?
Yes. Each SageBizet business can have a public booking page where guests pick a time and leave the details you require, such as party size and phone number, and the booking appears in your calendar and front-desk view.
How does SageBizet prevent double-booking a table?
Every table is a bookable resource, and SageBizet checks availability before accepting a booking, including any buffer and cleaning time you set between parties.
Can SageBizet handle walk-ins as well as reservations?
Yes. SageBizet can run reservations only, a walk-in queue only, or both, so walk-ins can wait in the queue and be seated as tables free up.
Can SageBizet send orders to the kitchen?
Yes. Each menu item goes to its station, and the bar and kitchen screens show tickets oldest first with timers that turn amber and then red. SageBizet does not drive kitchen printers.
Can a table split the bill in SageBizet?
Yes. A table can pay item by item on separate checks, or one bill can be paid partly in cash and partly by card, with the drawer counting only the cash.
