Scan, sell and know what is on the shelf — with reorder suggestions and an online store working from the same stock.
SageBizet is free, browser-based retail POS and inventory software for small shops that sells by barcode, keeps stock accurate with a reason for every change, suggests what to reorder, shows dead stock, and publishes items to an online store.
The system says six, the shelf has two. Without a record of sales, deliveries, breakages and recounts, nobody knows where the difference came from.
Reordering by guesswork
Best sellers run out on the weekend while slow lines are reordered out of habit. Ordering from memory means lost sales on one side and cash tied up on the other.
Money sitting on the shelf
Stock that has not sold in months is cash the shop cannot use, but it rarely shows up until a stocktake.
Two lists for two shops
Selling online from a separate list means the website sells items that sold out in the shop yesterday.
A day at your business, with SageBizet
Open to close — where each part of the system earns its place.
08:30
Delivery
Scan each product in the delivery and add it as a purchase adjustment, so stock is right before the doors open.
09:00
Open the till
Open the cash drawer with the float. Staff on the Staff role can sell, take payments and log stock changes, but cannot void sales or see reports.
11:00
Selling by scan
A USB or Bluetooth scanner adds the exact item on an SKU match. Quick cash, automatic change and a printed or shared receipt finish the sale.
14:00
An online order for pickup
An order from your online store arrives. Confirm it, mark it ready and, when the customer collects it, complete it — it becomes a sale like any other.
16:30
Reorder
Sage Advisor lists items running low with the days of cover left at the current rate of sale and a suggested order quantity.
18:30
Close
Count the drawer against expected cash. Once a week, Insights shows dead stock and items losing ground, so you know what to stop reordering.
Accurate stock comes from recording every change, not from counting more often. In SageBizet, sales decrement stock automatically and every other change is a stock adjustment with a reason, so the history of each item explains exactly how it got to today’s number. The inventory guide goes deeper.

Sizes, colours and barcode labels
A shop that signs up as Retail gets products with up to three options it names itself, such as Colour and Size or Waist and Length. Every combination is a variant with its own SKU, barcode, price and stock, and SageBizet makes an in-store barcode for any variant without a manufacturer code. Labels with the size, colour, price and a struck-through "was" price print from the browser on a label printer or an A4 sheet, and a whole catalogue can be brought in from a CSV spreadsheet, checked row by row before anything is saved.
Returns, exchanges, store credit and gift cards
Shop receipts carry the sale number as a barcode, so a return starts with one scan. SageBizet refunds the price actually paid for each item, including its share of any discount and the tax, and never more than is left to return. An exchange is one transaction where the difference is paid or refunded, and the return policy (days, receipt required, final sale) is checked for the cashier, with a manager able to override it with a reason. Refunds can go back as they were paid or as store credit, and gift cards are sold as money owed, not as sales, until they are spent.
Stockroom, branches, deliveries and counts
A shop can keep stock by location: the floor, a stockroom, a warehouse, and other branches. Moving stock from the stockroom to the floor is one step; sending it to another branch is requested, approved, sent and received, with anything short recorded. Purchase orders are made across a size run and received by scanning the boxes, with damaged and unexpected items flagged, and counts can cover a location, a brand or a short daily cycle, with a reason for every shortfall.
Markdowns, promotions and loyalty
Mark down a product or a whole collection by a percent or to a new price; the full price stays on the label struck through, and every change is kept in a price history. Promotions can target a brand, a collection or a category, run only at some branches or for a customer group, and be capped per bill, while wholesale or staff groups get their own discount. Loyalty points come with tiers by yearly spend. At the till each line gets the single best discount and the receipt says which one.
What to reorder, what to mark down
Insights show sell-through by product, collection and brand, the sizes that actually sell, staff and supplier figures, and shrinkage by reason. Dead stock lists what has not sold in 90 days with the cash it ties up, and the reorder list works out what will run out before a delivery could arrive, ready to become a purchase order. Signals point at a fast seller that is nearly gone or one branch that is out while another has plenty.

Common questions
Is SageBizet free for a retail shop?
Yes. SageBizet is free during early access for retail shops, with POS, inventory, reports and the online store included, no credit card and no per-terminal or per-user fees.
Does SageBizet work with a barcode scanner?
Yes. SageBizet works with any USB or Bluetooth barcode scanner that types into the browser; scanning a code that matches an item’s SKU adds that item to the sale.
How does SageBizet decide what to reorder?
SageBizet’s Sage Advisor looks at each item’s current rate of sale, estimates how many days of stock are left, and suggests an order quantity.
How do I find dead stock in SageBizet?
Insights in SageBizet lists dead stock — items that have not been selling — with the money tied up in each, alongside items whose sales are falling.
Can a shop sell online with SageBizet?
Yes. A SageBizet shop can publish inventory items to an online store and the SageBizet marketplace, taking orders for pickup or delivery; a completed order becomes a sale and reduces stock.
Does SageBizet handle returns and exchanges?
Yes. In a Retail business, scan the receipt or find the sale, pick what is coming back and why, and SageBizet refunds what was actually paid for it, as it was paid or as store credit. Exchanges are one transaction with the difference paid or refunded, and returned items go back into stock or are written off as damaged.
Can SageBizet handle sizes and colours?
Yes. A shop that signs up as Retail adds a product once with its options, such as colour and size, and every combination becomes a variant with its own SKU, barcode, price and stock level. At the till, tapping the product shows a grid of sizes and colours with the stock of each.
Free during early access: POS, inventory, booking, an online store and reports included. No credit card, no per-user fees, set up in minutes in your browser.
