Staff accounts, roles and permissions

Give everyone their own login and exactly the access their job needs — the cashier rings up sales, the manager closes the drawer, the accountant reads the numbers.

SageBizet Team & roles gives every staff member their own login, free of per-user fees, with ready-made Owner, Manager, Staff and Accountant roles and custom roles built from 29 granular permissions.

What team & roles does in SageBizet

  • A login for every person

Invite each team member to the business, so sales, voids and discounts are tied to the person who made them instead of a shared password.

  • Ready-made roles

Four system roles cover most teams from day one: Owner, Manager, Staff and Accountant. Pick one when you invite someone and change it later as their job changes.

  • Custom roles from 29 permissions

When a system role does not fit, build your own from 29 granular permissions — for example, a senior cashier who can void sales and open and close the drawer but cannot adjust stock.

  • No per-user fees

SageBizet is free during early access, with no per-user or per-terminal charges, so adding a part-time worker or a second till costs nothing.

  • Several businesses, one login

If you run more than one business, manage them all under one login and move between them with the business switcher.

How it works

  1. 01

    Invite your team

Add each person to the business from the team page and give them a role.

  2. 02

    Adjust roles to fit

Use the system roles as they are, or create custom roles with exactly the permissions a job needs.

  3. 03

    Let everyone work

Each person signs in on any device and sees only what their role allows.

  4. 04

    Review performance

Filter sales history by staff member, and see each person’s sales, voids and discounts for any period in Insights.

Why each person needs their own access

A shared login is convenient until something goes wrong: a void nobody remembers, a stock count that changed overnight, a drawer that closed short. With one login per person and a role that fits each job, every sale has a name on it, sensitive actions are limited to the people you trust with them, and staff performance in Insights means something.

The four system roles
RoleTypically for
OwnerThe person who runs the business, with full access
ManagerSomeone who runs the floor day to day
StaffCashiers, servers and front-desk staff who serve customers
AccountantSomeone who needs to read the numbers rather than sell

Examples of what permissions control

  • Void sales — who can cancel a recorded sale and restore its stock.
  • Adjust stock — who can change stock levels outside a sale, such as recording a delivery or waste.
  • Open and close the drawer — who handles the cash drawer float and the count at close.
  • Manage customers — who can add customers and put sales on a customer tab.
  • View reports — who can see takings, profit and the dashboard.

What it does, and what it doesn’t

Straight answers, so you know before you sign up whether it fits.

It does

  • Invites staff to the business, each with their own login
  • Provides Owner, Manager, Staff and Accountant system roles
  • Builds custom roles from 29 granular permissions
  • Controls sensitive actions such as voiding sales, adjusting stock and opening or closing the drawer
  • Shows sales, voids and discounts per staff member
  • Manages several businesses under one login with a switcher

It doesn’t

  • Run payroll or calculate wages
  • Schedule shifts, track hours worked or calculate commissions, except for salons and barbershops, which have a rota, clocking in and commission of their own

Team & roles: common questions

Does SageBizet charge per staff account?
No. SageBizet is free during early access, with no per-user or per-terminal fees, so every team member can have their own login.
What roles does SageBizet include?
SageBizet includes four system roles — Owner, Manager, Staff and Accountant — and owners can create custom roles from 29 granular permissions.
Can I stop staff from voiding sales?
Yes. Voiding sales is a separate permission, so you can give it only to managers or trusted staff and leave it out of everyone else’s role.
Can I see what each staff member sold?
Yes. Sales history can be filtered by staff member, and Insights shows each person’s sales, voids and discounts for any period.
Can I manage more than one business with one login?
Yes. SageBizet supports several businesses under one login, with a switcher to move between them, and each business keeps its own records.
Does SageBizet include payroll or shift scheduling?
SageBizet does not run payroll. It manages what staff can do in the system and shows their sales performance. Salons also get a rota with changes for a date, clocking in and out, and commission statements; other business types do not schedule shifts or track hours worked.
