Hotel and guesthouse POS with guest tabs and bookings

Ring up the restaurant, bar and front-desk extras from one system, charge them to the guest’s tab, and settle everything in one go at checkout.

SageBizet gives small hotels and guesthouses a free, browser-based POS for the restaurant, bar, minibar and extras, with sales charged to a guest’s tab and settled at checkout, plus same-day bookings for rooms and spaces, stock and daily profit.

What goes wrong without a system

  • Extras that never reach the bill

A minibar beer, a laundry bag and two dinners are written on separate slips. One goes missing between the bar and the front desk, and the guest checks out without paying for it.

  • Outlets that do not talk to each other

The restaurant, the bar and the front desk each have their own cash box or till, so nobody sees what the property took in a day until someone adds it all up.

  • Minibar and bar stock

Drinks and snacks sit in every room and behind the bar. Without counts and a record of what was charged, restocking is guesswork and losses go unnoticed.

  • Front-desk cash across shifts

Day and night staff share one drawer, and when it is short in the morning nobody can tell which shift it happened on.

A day at your business, with SageBizet

Open to close — where each part of the system earns its place.
  1. 07:00

    Breakfast

Ring up breakfast for walk-in visitors, and charge room guests’ extras to their tab with On tab. Breakfast items can be tracked against stock.

  2. 10:30

    Checkouts

Open the guest’s customer record to see every charge on their tab, take payment on your own terminal or in cash, and record it so the balance clears.

  3. 12:00

    Meeting room and day use

A local business has booked the meeting room for the afternoon through your public booking page; it appears on the front-desk view for today.

  4. 14:00

    Check-ins

Create a customer record for each arriving guest with their name, phone and room number in the note, so the restaurant and bar can charge to it.

  5. 16:00

    Minibar round

Housekeeping reports what was taken; each item is charged to the guest’s tab and stock goes down. The low-stock list shows what to bring up from the store room.

  6. 23:00

    Night close

Count the front-desk drawer and close the session; the over or short is recorded against it. The dashboard shows the day’s takings across the restaurant, bar and extras.

Where SageBizet fits next to your room calendar

SageBizet is not a hotel property-management system or a channel manager. Every booking in SageBizet sits within one business day, so it does not hold multi-night room reservations, and it does not sync availability or rates with online travel agencies. Small hotels and guesthouses keep their room calendar where it is — a PMS, an OTA extranet or a diary — and use SageBizet for everything guests buy during their stay, plus same-day bookings such as meeting rooms.

Common questions

Is SageBizet free for a hotel or guesthouse?
Yes. SageBizet is free during early access for small hotels and guesthouses, with POS, guest tabs, stock, bookings and reports included, no credit card and no per-user fees.
Is SageBizet a hotel property-management system or channel manager?
No. SageBizet does not hold multi-night room reservations or sync with online travel agencies; hotels use it alongside their room calendar for restaurant, bar, minibar and extra sales, guest tabs and same-day bookings.
Can guests charge restaurant and bar bills to their room?
Yes. In SageBizet each guest can have a customer record, sales are charged to it with the On tab payment, and the full balance is settled at checkout.
Can guests book rooms online through SageBizet?
Only for bookings within one business day, such as meeting rooms, day-use rooms or spa treatments. SageBizet does not take overnight or multi-night stays, so keep room reservations in your existing system.
Can SageBizet track minibar stock?
Yes. Minibar items are inventory items in SageBizet; each one charged to a guest reduces stock, and recounts, waste and breakages are recorded with a reason.
Can a hotel see the restaurant and bar separately?
A hotel can keep each outlet’s items in their own categories in one SageBizet business, or set each outlet up as a separate business under the same login and switch between them for separate reports.
