Barbershop queue, booking and POS software

The queue, the chairs, the cut and the cash, in one place, in your shop’s own words.

SageBizet is free, browser-based barbershop software built around the walk-in queue: each customer gets a wait worked out from every barber’s own cut times, appointments keep their slots, a TV screen shows who’s next, barbers keep a style card for every cut, payment is taken at the chair, and the day closes with the drawers counted.

What goes wrong without a system

  • “How long is the wait?”

On a Saturday the bench is full, nobody is sure of the order, and people walk out because no one can tell them how long they’ll wait.

  • Bookings and walk-ins colliding

A regular with an appointment arrives to find his barber halfway through a walk-in. Mixing the two without a system means someone always waits longer than promised.

  • “Same as last time”

The customer’s usual barber is off, and nobody knows it was a low fade with a number one on the sides and a natural neckline.

  • Cash in every pocket

Cuts are paid to whichever barber is free and tips go straight into hands. At close the drawer is short or over and no one can say why.

A day at your business, with SageBizet

Open to close — where each part of the system earns its place.
  1. 08:00

    Open up

Open the drawer with the float. The queue screen shows who is on shift, each barber’s chair, and today’s booked customers.

  2. 10:00

    Walk-ins arrive

A walk-in is added in three taps (what he wants, any barber or his own, a name) or checks himself in at the door. He gets a ticket number and a wait shown as a range.

  3. 12:30

    Lunch-hour mix

Booked customers keep their time; walk-ins fill around them. A barber steps out for lunch and the queue stops sending people to his chair until he’s back.

  4. 14:00

    At the chair

The barber’s phone shows the customer’s last cut and his usual. He taps today’s style card, adds a hot towel in one tap, and finishes.

  5. 14:30

    Pay at the chair

Cash in two taps from finishing, a tip handed straight to the barber kept out of the drawer, beard oil on the same bill, and the next cut suggested from the customer’s own rhythm.

  6. 20:00

    Close

The day close lists anyone not yet paid, counts each drawer against what it should hold, and shows each barber’s customers, takings, commission, tips and hours, and tomorrow’s bookings.

A queue that tells people the truth

Most barbershops live on walk-ins with some regulars who book. SageBizet puts the queue at the centre: each person waiting is matched to the barber who can start him soonest, around booked appointments and the end of shifts, using each barber’s own recent times for that cut. The wait is shown as a range, because cuts run short and long.

How a SageBizet barbershop runs its queue
In the shopIn SageBizet
Who goes nextThe shop’s rule: appointments keep their time and walk-ins fill around them, first come first served, or the barber picks; calling someone out of turn is allowed and recorded
The waitA range from each barber’s real cut times (once five are recorded), booked appointments and shift ends
The window and the doorA TV screen with ticket numbers and first names, and a check-in page at the door or by a QR code on the TV
Missed turns and people who leaveCalled and not in the chair moves a person down a set number of places; people who leave are counted by hour
Closing timeWalk-ins stop a set time before closing; the desk can still add someone
ChairsIn service, brushing down, out of order with a reason, and whose chair it is
The cutA style card for every cut in the shop’s own fields, read back as one line (“Low fade · #1 sides · textured top”), with photos when the customer agrees

What SageBizet does not do for barbershops

  • Send automatic text reminders — messages are prepared and sent from the shop’s phone
  • Take payments or deposits online, or process cards — use your terminal and record the sale as Card
  • Run payroll or chair rental — commission, tips and hours are worked out for each barber, but wages, tax and rent are not
  • Take payment or new bookings without a connection — the queue keeps working offline, and those wait for the connection

Common questions

Is SageBizet free for a barbershop?
Yes. SageBizet is free during early access for barbershops, with the walk-in queue, appointments, the TV screen, payment at the chair, stock and reports included, no credit card and no per-user fees.
How does SageBizet work out a walk-in’s wait?
SageBizet matches each person waiting to the barber who can start him soonest, around booked appointments and the end of shifts, using each barber’s own recent times for that cut once five are recorded. The wait is shown as a range rather than a single number.
Can customers check themselves in or see the queue on a TV?
Yes. A SageBizet barbershop can show its queue on a TV by a private web address, with ticket numbers and first names only, and customers can join from a check-in page at the door or by scanning a QR code on the TV. The shop’s public page can show the current wait.
Can I take appointments and walk-ins at the same time?
Yes. In SageBizet booked customers keep their time while walk-ins fill around them, or the shop can run first come, first served, with a booked customer who has arrived taking his place by his booked time.
Does SageBizet remember how a customer likes his cut?
Yes. Barbers keep a style card for every cut in the shop’s own fields and quick tags, started from the last one, and the customer’s profile reads it back as one line with the barber and the date.
Does SageBizet calculate barber commission and tips?
Yes. Commission rules can be set by barber, level, service or category, and for one branch, with every row explained. Tips go to the barber or into a pool, and a cash tip handed straight to the barber is recorded as his without touching the drawer. SageBizet does not run payroll.
Does SageBizet work when the internet drops?
Partly. The queue, today’s appointments and each barber’s chair stay on the device, and walk-ins, calls and finished cuts are kept and sent when the connection is back, never twice. Taking payment and new bookings need the connection.
Does a barbershop need special hardware for SageBizet?
No. SageBizet runs in the browser on a phone, tablet or computer; the TV screen is any screen with a browser, and a receipt printer is optional.
