What SageBizet collects, why, who can see it and how to have it removed — in plain language.
Privacy policy
Who this covers
SageBizet is an independent web application for running a business. This policy covers three groups of people: business users (owners and staff with an account), shoppers (people with a SageBizet shopper account who save items or place orders), and visitors to the public website. Questions about this policy go to amanuel.yizelkal.dev@gmail.com.
What we collect
| Data | Why | Who can see it |
|---|---|---|
| Account details: name, email, password (stored only as a secure hash) | To sign you in and secure the account | You, and owners/managers of businesses you belong to (name and email) |
| Business records: sales, items, stock, expenses, cash drawer sessions, bookings, store orders | This is the service — it is what you enter to run the business | Members of that business, according to their role |
| Customer records entered by a business: names, phone numbers, notes, tab balances, bookings | So the business can serve and bill its customers | Members of that business only |
| Public business profile and published store items | So customers can find, book and buy from the business | Anyone — the business chooses what to publish |
| Shopper account: saved items, orders, delivery details given at checkout | To place and track orders | You, and the business you order from (for that order) |
| Website usage: pages viewed, referrer, approximate country, device type, a random visitor ID, a salted hash of the IP address | To understand which pages help people and where visitors come from | SageBizet only — never sold or shared |
| Server access logs: IP address, time, page requested and browser or crawler name | Security, troubleshooting and seeing when search engines visit — deleted after 30 days | SageBizet only |
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal data or business records.
- We do not show advertising and do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
- We do not share one business’s data with another business on SageBizet.
- We do not collect card or bank details — SageBizet records how a sale was paid but does not process payments.
Cookies and storage on your device
SageBizet uses secure, httpOnly cookies to keep you signed in. Your browser also stores preferences (theme, row density, sidebar width), held orders and, for the offline till, sales waiting to sync and a copy of the product list. Website analytics use a random visitor ID and per-session attribution data stored in your browser. Analytics are skipped entirely when your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
Where data is stored and how it is protected
Data is stored on servers operated by our hosting provider and is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections. Passwords are hashed, access to each business’s data is enforced on the server for every request, and the database is backed up nightly with backups kept for 14 days.
How long we keep it
Business records are kept for as long as the business account exists, because they are the business’s books. Website analytics events are kept to see how the site is used over time and are never sold or shared. When an account is deleted, its records are removed from the live system and age out of backups within 14 days.
Your choices and rights
- Access and export: owners can export sales, inventory, expenses and customers to spreadsheet files at any time.
- Correction: most data can be edited in the app; for anything else, email amanuel.yizelkal.dev@gmail.com.
- Deletion: email amanuel.yizelkal.dev@gmail.com from the address on the account to delete a shopper account or a business and its records.
- Customers of a business: if a business holds your details and you want them changed or removed, contact that business; if you cannot reach them, contact us.
Children
SageBizet is a business tool and is not directed at children under 16.
