Repair shop software for job tickets and tracking

From drop-off to pick-up: what came in, what is being done, when it is ready and what is left to pay, for every job on the counter.

SageBizet is free, browser-based software for repair shops and service counters (phone repair, tailoring, laundry, shoe repair and printing) that takes in each job with a ticket and a tracking link, tells the customer it is ready on WhatsApp in one tap, and takes the deposit and balance at the till.

What goes wrong without a system

  • Lost paper tickets

The customer loses the slip, the carbon copy is smudged, and finding their phone or suit means going through a drawer of bags.

  • “Is it ready yet?”

Customers call or walk in to ask, the counter has to look for the job, and the work stops every time.

  • Jobs that sit for weeks

Finished jobs wait on the shelf because nobody told the customer, and jobs past their date are only noticed when the customer complains.

  • Deposits nobody can find

A deposit was taken when the job came in, but at pick-up nobody is sure how much, so the balance is guessed.

A day at your business, with SageBizet

Open to close — where each part of the system earns its place.
  1. 08:30

    Open up

Open the cash drawer. The Today screen shows jobs due today, jobs that are overdue and jobs ready to be collected.

  2. 09:00

    A job comes in

A customer drops off a phone with a cracked screen. Take it in with the item, the problem, the price and the ready-by date, then print the ticket or send it on WhatsApp.

  3. 09:05

    Deposit

Take a deposit at the till, linked to the job. The ticket shows what is paid and what is left to pay.

  4. 12:00

    Waiting for parts

The screen has to be ordered. Mark the job as waiting for parts; the customer’s tracking page shows it is on hold.

  5. 16:00

    It’s ready

Mark the job ready and tap to send the “it’s ready” message on WhatsApp, with the ticket number, the balance and the link.

  6. 18:00

    Pick-up and day close

The customer pays the balance at the till and the job is marked collected. The day close shows deposits taken, jobs handed back and jobs ready but not collected.

Built for work that is dropped off and picked up

Setup starts from the kind of work you do. Each kind fills in example wording, a usual turnaround and starter services for the till, at your own prices. Everything can be changed later.

What each kind starts with
Kind of workUsual turnaroundStarter services
Phone & electronics repair2 daysScreen and battery replacement, charging port, software and unlocking, accessories
Tailoring & alterations3 daysHem trousers, take in or let out, replace a zip, repair a tear, made to measure
Laundry & dry cleaning2 daysWash and fold per kg, shirts, trousers, suits dry cleaned, duvets, ironing
Shoe & bag repair3 daysNew heels, new soles, stitching, polish, bag zip repair
Printing & copying1 dayCopies and colour prints per page, binding, lamination, business cards, banners

Each job gets a ticket number and a tracking link. The printed ticket (80 mm, from the browser) carries a QR code to the tracking page. Statuses follow the work: received, in progress, waiting (for parts, or for the customer’s OK), ready, collected or cancelled, with every change kept with who made it.

The tracking page shows the ticket number, the item, the status with times, the expected date and what is left to pay, but never the customer’s name or phone, the problem or your notes. When a job is ready, one tap opens WhatsApp on the counter’s phone with the message already written. Jobs past their ready-by date have their own overdue list.

What SageBizet does not do for repair shops

  • Take parts out of stock for a job — parts sold separately at the till come off stock as usual
  • Split a job into parts and labour lines — each job has one price
  • Track warranties, or keep photos and signatures on a job
  • Send SMS or automatic reminders — messages go from the counter’s phone
  • Take bookings online — jobs are taken in at the counter

Common questions

Is SageBizet free for a repair shop?
Yes. SageBizet is free during early access for repair shops and service counters, including phone repair, tailoring, laundry, shoe repair and printing, with job tickets, tracking links, the till and the day close included.
Can customers track their repair online?
Yes. Each SageBizet job has a tracking link and a QR code on its printed ticket, showing the status, the expected date and what is left to pay, without the customer’s name or phone.
How do I tell a customer their job is ready?
In SageBizet, marking a job ready gives a button that opens WhatsApp on the counter’s phone with the message written: the item, the ticket number, the balance and the link. Nothing is sent automatically.
Can I take a deposit when a job comes in?
Yes. SageBizet takes a deposit at the till linked to the job, and at pick-up the balance is the price less what was paid. Handing a job back while money is owed needs a confirmation.
Does SageBizet work for laundry and dry cleaning?
Yes. SageBizet has a laundry and dry cleaning starting point with services such as wash and fold per kg, shirts, suits and duvets, and each drop-off is taken in as a job with a ticket and a ready-by date.
Can SageBizet show which jobs are overdue?
Yes. SageBizet lists jobs past their ready-by date that are not ready yet on their own overdue tab, and keeps ready jobs that have not been collected in a separate list.
