SageBizet vs Cloudbeds

Cloudbeds is a hotel platform built around distribution: a PMS with a channel manager, booking engine and payments. SageBizet is a business system whose hotel module sits next to the restaurant till, stock and cash drawer, and leaves payments and booking sites to you.

Cloudbeds is the better choice for a property that sells rooms on Booking.com, Expedia or Airbnb and needs a built-in channel manager, online payments and automated guest messages; SageBizet is the better choice for a hotel or guesthouse that wants the front desk, housekeeping, guest bills, the restaurant and bar, stock and cash in one system, free during early access.

Where each one is stronger

If the other product fits your business better, it should win — this is where.

Cloudbeds is the better choice when you need

  • A channel manager built in on the One plan and above, connected to 450+ booking sites including Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb and Vrbo, with rates and availability kept in step in real time. SageBizet has no live connection to booking sites yet.
  • Integrated card payments: payment at online booking, deposits and pre-payments collected on a schedule from rate policies, payment links, card terminals and Tap to Pay where available.
  • Automated guest messaging with one inbox for email, SMS, WhatsApp and booking-site chats, digital check-in and a self-service kiosk on its Guest Experience plan.
  • An automated revenue management add-on that sets prices from competitor rates and demand forecasts.
  • 450+ integration partners and an open API, plus a native app for iPhone and iPad.

SageBizet is the better choice when you need

  • Free during early access, with every feature included and no sales call or quote needed to start.
  • The restaurant, bar, room service and their stock run in the same system as the rooms, so a dinner charged to a room lands on the guest’s bill without a separate POS or integration.
  • Company accounts with a contract rate, credit limit, payment terms and ageing statements, travel agents’ commission, and meeting rooms billed onto a guest booking.
  • A cash drawer per shift with over and short at close, plus expenses and net profit, alongside the hotel’s own figures.
  • Works in any country and currency with whatever card terminal or mobile-money service the hotel already uses; the housekeeping phone keeps working without a connection.

Distribution platform or all-in-one hotel system

Cloudbeds is a hotel platform built around selling rooms: a PMS with a channel manager to 450+ booking sites, a booking engine, integrated payments and, on higher plans or as add-ons, automated guest messaging and revenue management. Its prices are quoted per property rather than published. SageBizet is a business system with a full hotel module — reservations by the night, front desk, housekeeping, a bill per stay and a night audit — next to the restaurant and bar till, stock and the cash drawer, free during early access. It does not connect to booking sites or take payments.

Who should choose Cloudbeds

  • A large share of your rooms are sold on Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb or other booking sites, and you need a channel manager to keep availability and rates in step across them.
  • You want guests to pay or leave a deposit when they book online, and card payments processed by the same supplier as your PMS.
  • You want guest messages, digital check-in and pricing changes to happen automatically.
  • You rely on other hotel software, such as door locks or a specialist tool, that needs to connect to your PMS.

Who should choose SageBizet

  • Most of your guests book directly, by phone, through companies or walk in, and booking sites are a small share you can manage by hand.
  • You run a restaurant, bar or room service and want those bills, the minibar and their stock on the same system as the rooms.
  • Companies and travel agents send you guests and you need to track what each owes, against a credit limit and payment terms.
  • You take cash or mobile money and want the drawer counted at each close, with expenses and profit beside the takings.

Switching from Cloudbeds

There is no import tool from Cloudbeds. Set up the property in SageBizet — check-in and check-out times, VAT and service charge, room types, rooms on each floor, rates and seasons — then enter future reservations, or let stays already booked finish in Cloudbeds. Because SageBizet does not connect to booking sites yet, bookings from them are entered at the desk with their source and commission, and availability on each site’s extranet is kept up to date by hand.

Common questions

Is SageBizet a free alternative to Cloudbeds?
SageBizet is free during early access for hotels and guesthouses, with reservations, front desk, housekeeping, guest bills, the restaurant and bar, stock and reports included and no per-user fees. Cloudbeds is a paid platform priced by quote. Unlike Cloudbeds, SageBizet has no built-in channel manager and does not process payments.
How much does Cloudbeds cost?
As of October 2026, Cloudbeds does not publish prices. Its Flex, One, Experience and Enterprise plans are priced by quote for each property, and revenue management, guest marketing CRM, digital marketing and websites are sold as add-ons. Card payments through Cloudbeds Payments carry processing fees, also quoted.
Does SageBizet have a channel manager like Cloudbeds?
No. SageBizet has no live connection to Booking.com, Expedia or Airbnb yet; it has a channel interface that a channel manager can use to read rooms left and prices and to send bookings and cancellations in. Cloudbeds includes a channel manager connected to 450+ booking sites on its One plan and above.
Can SageBizet take online payments or deposits like Cloudbeds?
No. SageBizet does not process payments: guests book on the hotel’s own booking page and pay at the hotel. Deposits and payments taken at the desk in cash, on the hotel’s card terminal or by mobile money are held on the guest’s bill and used at check-out. Cloudbeds Payments can charge cards at online booking and collect deposits on a schedule.
Can restaurant and bar bills go on a guest’s hotel bill?
In SageBizet, the restaurant, bar and room service run on the same system as the rooms, and any bill can be charged to a guest’s room from the till, appearing on their bill at once. Cloudbeds does this with its Cloudbeds POS app or a third-party POS that posts charges to the guest’s folio.
Does SageBizet do hotel revenue management?
SageBizet reports occupancy, ADR and RevPAR, revenue by source after commission, and the next 30 days on the books against a week ago and last year, and its busy-night rules raise prices as the hotel fills. It does not track competitors’ rates; Cloudbeds’ revenue management add-on sets prices automatically from competitor rates and demand forecasts.
